Location

A small community garden is located on school property for easy access. This ensures that everyone will feel welcome. Right now, it is a small 6x8 ft raised bed. In 2014 it produced tomatoes, spinach, carrots, peppers, and sugar snap peas! Because of the limited space, we have evolved into a network of sustainable gardens. This includes sharing our produce, donating to food pantries, saving seeds, and providing any gardening services we can.

Population

Currently, we are in the developing stages. With the given land, we have served the population of the Triton School Corporation by donating to the Helping Hands pantry located in the Bourbon United Methodist Church. In the future, we hope to expand into other chapters in other communities.

About

Food Warriors was started in the small town of Bourbon by mother, student, and human rights activist, Ashley Fink. Concerned about her own family's nutrition and health, she saw the importance of bringing fresh, healthy food to the community in the form of a garden, to young and old alike.

The Vision

The vision is to provide a safe place for the community to come together for the benefit of all.

In the garden you grow more than food. Here, we're growing a community and better future.
